The Deccan Odyssey ticket price is based on a per person, per journey rate for twin-sharing accommodations.

BOOKINGS/PAYMENT POLICY:

a) Payment of amount equal to 30% of published price plus applicable taxes is required to be paid at the time of booking.

b) Balance amount is to be paid 90 days prior to the departure date.

c) Pay 100% of the tour cost if you are booking 90 days prior to departure date.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

After making the booking & payment, if you cancel your journey – due to what so ever reason – the following cancellation policy would be applicable:

a) 90 days or more prior to departure, 30% of published price.

b) 75 to 89 days prior to departure, 50% of the published price.

c) 0 to 74 days prior to departure, 100% of the published price.

Cabins and Services

AMENDMENT POLICY:

Any amendment to the services would be treated as cancellation of the original services & new arrangements would be regarded as an entirely new booking. In such situation cancellation charges would be applicable as mentioned above.

In order to proceed with booking – you are requested to provide following details:

– Full name of all passengers

– Date of birth & gender

– Passport details – Passport number, date of issue, date of expiry & nationality

– Any other travel related services in your mind.

Changes and cancellation by Deccan Odyssey prior to your departure.

For the Deccan Odyssey to operate, a minimum number of cabins must be booked. If this requirement is not met for a departure date, or due to operational reasons, Deccan Odyssey is the right to cancel or amend the departure 15–30 days in advance. If your departure is canceled, you can either reschedule your trip to another available date or receive a refund for the payment made to us. However, please note that there will be no refund for services like pre/post accommodation, airline tickets, excursions, or extensions.

We plan our journeys well in advance, but Deccan Odyssey is the right to make changes to the itinerary if necessary. Most changes will be minor, but sometimes significant changes may be required. A significant change is defined as a change in the destination or departure date. If this happens, we will inform you as soon as possible and offer the following options:

Accepting the changed arrangements

You can choose alternative arrangements from us, similar in standard to your original booking, if available. Any difference in cost will be adjusted accordingly.

You can choose to cancel or accept the cancellation and receive a refund for the payment made to us. Please note, however, that there will be no refund for additional services such as pre/post accommodation, airline tickets, excursions, or extensions.

If the holiday is canceled due to circumstances beyond our control, such as a ‘force majeure’ event (details provided below), we regret to inform you that there will be no refund of the payments made to us or reimbursement for any additional expenses incurred as a result of the cancellation or change. We will, however, try to offer you an alternative date, subject to the train company’s agreement. Any additional charges due to a change in tariffs will be applicable.

If a force majeure event occurs during your tour, we reserve the right to change the tour itinerary as needed based on the circumstances. Unfortunately, we cannot offer any compensation, and there will be no refund for any unused portions of the tour.

Force Majeure

Neither party will be considered in breach of this Agreement or in default of its obligations if it fails to perform any terms of this Agreement due to causes beyond its reasonable control. These causes include, but are not limited to, acts of God, civil or military authority, acts of public enemies, threat of war, declared or undeclared war, riots, actual or threatened terrorist activity, civil disturbances, insurrections, industrial disputes, strikes, accidents, explosions, fires, earthquakes, floods, transportation embargoes, epidemics, diseases, acts of government or its agencies, non-availability of venues, or any other legitimate causes beyond the reasonable control of the parties, including sudden fluctuations in the Deccan Odyssey train ticket price.
